Other Scouting Activies

Religious Emblems:

A Scout is Reverent. All Scouts show this by being faithful in their duty to God. You may go further and give a special service. This may qualify you for a religious emblem. Each faith has its own requirements for earning its emblem. You should see your Scoutmaster for further information if you are interested in this religious award.

Order of the Arrow:

The Order of the Arrow is a national brotherhood of Scout Campers. The honor of becoming a member of the Order of the Arrow is that you cannot set out to earn it on your own. The members of your Troop bestow this honor on you. This is done when you have proven yourself worthy of receiving it through active participation in Troop activities. To achieve this, you must be an outstanding and unselfish camper.

Firecrafter:

The Firecrafter program is unique to the Crossroads of America Council and is available only during Summer Camp. Ranks advance from Camper to Woodsman to Firecrafter and can be achieved only during Summer Camp activities at BSA Camp Ransburg.

Others:

Your Boy Scout Handbook and the current Boy Scout Requirements book outline many other special awards and programs which might be of interest to you. We encourage you to look them over.
